To get on the list, a refundable $100 deposit was required.
Deliveries are expected to begin sometime in 2022.
New orders for the Lyriq will only be taken as of next summer.
Last week ended with a bang for GM and Cadillac. For a full 24-hour period, Cadillac hosted a launch party for the new all-electric Lyriq. At this same event, Cadillac opened up reservations for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition and 20 minutes later, all were spoken for.
Priced from $58,795, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is a bright beacon of light for GM as the Big American automaker eventually moves into an all-electric product portfolio. The luxury SUV’s highlights are numerous including a 34-horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque electric powertrain, a large 100 kWh battery pack with 190 kW fast-charging capabilities, and a host of premium features and materials.

Many of those who hoped to put their names down for a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition had a hard time with the process, as explained on Twitter. Cadillac’s system experienced overwhelming demand causing some customers to lose their spot.
Unfortunately for them, the next time they’ll get a chance to order a new Cadillac Lyriq will be in the summer of 2022.
