Ford is finally the call from truck enthusiasts who have long been asking for a tougher, longer-range F-150 Lightning. Until now, buyers of the XLT trim often had to turn to the aftermarket to get a truly “adventure-ready” model. That changes for 2026, with the XLT giving way to the all-new STX, a version that raises the bar.
The STX replaces the XLT in the 2026 Lightning lineup

Pricing sees a slight increase compared to the XLT
Bigger Battery, Longer Range
While the XLT was offered with a standard 98-kWh battery, the STX adopts the extended-range 131-kWh pack paired with dual electric motors. The result: a targeted 467 km (290 miles) of range, 536 horsepower, and a hefty 775 lb-ft of torque. A rear electronic locking differential now comes standard, further underlining its off-road credentials.

Distinct Styling and More Equipment
Visually, the STX stands apart from the outgoing XLT thanks to a new grille with a bold Grabber Blue accent, along with STX-specific decals on the sides and hood. Off-road running boards borrowed from the Tremor, new wheels, and all-terrain tires also make the cut. Inside, the truck adds cloth seats embroidered with “STX,” a heated steering wheel standard a welcome touch for Canadian winters and an optional black vinyl floor for those who regularly tackle dirt and mud.

More Colors
Another step up from the 2025 XLT is the broader colors selection. The 2026 STX introduces Argon Blue, Marsh Grey, and Ruby Red Metallic, joining familiar choices like Agate Black, Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Grey, Oxford White, and Star White.
Positioning and Pricing
Arriving in late 2025, the F-150 Lightning STX will start at $74,996 CAD, plus destination and delivery fees to be confirmed. Given its mechanical upgrades, the price jump over the XLT’s $72,890 CAD starting point is reasonable. Ford expects this version to become one of the best-sellers in its electric lineup.
