The Fast Family gets ready to blow up everything May 19th
This one will finally have a drag race again!
Punch it! It’s the second trailer for Fast X, and Dom and the gang are getting ready to face their greatest villain yet. Is that cliché? Absolutely. Do you care? Well, mostly not. Though after this many installments, it is starting to get a little tired.
This trailer doesn’t really tell us much we didn’t learn in the first one, but it is about three minutes more of the action that we can expect in the latest in the Fast franchise.
Here’s the summary: Jason Momoa, who has been ret-conned into Fast Five, is mad at Vin Diesel and everybody else. Because he was a baddy and lost out when they stole that big safe. Why is he waiting more than a decade for revenge? And why does he think he merits revenge? It probably doesn’t matter, you’ll find out later.
So he’s blowing up everything (the Vatican? Are we sure he’s the bad guy?) and that especially applies to Vin Diesel’s crew. Which really should have a name after this many movies and so many antics. The Fasters? Sure, why not.
Of course Vin Diesel wants to stop Jason Momoa from killing his entire family (ohh, THAT’S their name!). And to stop chewing the scenery, because Dom Toretto is the only one who is allowed to do that in a Fast movie. Just ask The Rock and Kurt Russel.
Fast X comes to theatres on May 19th, and then you’ll be able to watch Vin Diesel’s family split up and main dozens of other families to keep their own intact. Despite our sarcasm, we’ll be there. Because just look at all the car carnage, ‘splosions, and bad CGI! Just look at it!
