Update: Canada will not get the cool Topolino.
Fiat confirms 2025 U.S. launch of low-speed electric Topolino microcar.
Britto-designed “Brittolino” debuts during Art Week Miami at Britto Palace.
European version features 5.4 kWh battery, a 46.6-mile range, and a 28 mph top speed.
Fiat has confirmed that its ultra-compact electric vehicle, the Topolino, will launch in the U.S. market, with further details expected in the coming months. The announcement follows a series of appearances by the micro-EV at events including the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance and auto shows in New York and Los Angeles, where it drew consumer interest.

Designed primarily for urban mobility, the Topolino is a low-speed, two-seat electric vehicle already available in European and South American markets. The European version is powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 8 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque. A 5.4 kWh battery delivers up to 46 miles (75 km) of range under the World Motorcycle Test Cycle. The model has a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), making it suitable for use in neighbourhoods and urban areas.
Measuring just 2,535 mm in length with a 1,730 mm wheelbase, the Topolino is significantly smaller than the Fiat 500e, which it will sit beneath in Fiat’s U.S. lineup. The vehicle rides on 14-inch wheels and shares its platform with the Citroën Ami and Opel Rocks.

To mark the announcement, Fiat unveiled a unique art car version of the Topolino at Art Week Miami. The model, named “Brittolino,” was created in collaboration with internationally recognized artist Romero Britto and revealed at the Britto Palace.
The Brittolino features a multi-colour design with each body panel styled uniquely in Britto’s signature pop-art aesthetic. The car includes a contrasting blue roof, rope-style doors, and Britto-branded wheels.
Fiat brand CEO Olivier Francois noted that the Topolino has already generated consumer interest in the U.S. and confirmed that it will be introduced stateside, with full details to follow next year.

Named after the original Fiat 500 Topolino, produced from 1936 to 1955, the modern Topolino continues the brand’s tradition of compact design, focusing on simplicity and charm. Fiat positions the vehicle as an affordable, sustainable alternative for short-distance travel in dense urban environments.
U.S. consumers interested in the Topolino can register for updates through Fiat’s website. Pricing, specifications, and availability for the North American market are expected in 2026.
