Fiat Gets J-Lo for Second 500e Special Edition Drop

Fiat from the block

  • Expect a lot of these 500e “drop” campaigns

  • Jennifer Lopez will feature the electric 500

Fiat is hyping the 500e by launching special edition after special edition. The next one is getting some hype help from J-Lo, appearing in the video for her latest single, along with plenty of social media.

Jennifer Lopez and Fiat have been marketing partners for a long time. Since Fiat made its return to North America back in 2012. While she’s still Jenny from the block, the 500 has had quite the glow-up in the years since.

The first time around, the Fiat 500 was part of a dancer number for the music video for Papi. This time, it’s part of the video for the song Can’t Get Enough, from J-Lo’s ninth studio album.

But what will be special about this 500e “drop”?

We have no idea. The teaser for the song and video and car shows a rose gold-coloured car. Since the original drop was the 500e (Red) and it came in red, that’s likely a signature paint job. But that’s about all we get in the 15 seconds of teaser clip.

You’ll be able to order the cars starting on March 12th. They’ll probably start to arrive at dealers a few months later. What’s not likely to change is the powertrain in the Fiat 500e, with a 240 km electric range and 118 hp.
