First permanent location in Toronto in December
Montreal, Vancouver to follow in early 2021
Electric automaker Polestar is getting ready to open up its retail spaces in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Letting drivers check out, test drive, and purchase the brand’s all-electric car starting by the end of the year, and getting ready to launch more opportunities to connect customer and car in our country.
The first permanent Canadian Polestar Space, as they’re calling their retail stores, will open on avenue road in Toronto’s Yorkville district. That opens just in time for Christmas on the 23rd, and there are already two Polestar Service locations in the GTA to support the vehicles. The permanent Polestar Spaces will open in Montreal and Vancouver in early 2021, but there are temporary locations set up in each city that will open next month. In Montreal, a location at Carrefour Laval opens starting December 6th. The Vancouver temporary Space will open December 11th on Homer Street in Yaletown.
Polestar says that the Spaces will offer “unique retail environments, designed to inform and educate visitors in a relaxed way.” They’re staffed by non-commission Polestar staff who can help with product info, test drives, and sales, while the automaker will offer home delivery and home-pickup servicing to customers within 240 km of a Polestar Space or authorized service center.
The Spaces will have the 619 hp Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid performance model and will also offer the 402 hp, electric-only Polestar 2 sedan. While there aren’t stores in all provinces, Polestar says that sales and delivery are available in every province.
