There’s something about supercars crashing that immediately attracts attention. This time, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 was involved.
The collision took place in Yosemite, California. The details haven’t emerged yet, but we do no that no one was seriously injured. From the first looks, it appears that the accident took place in a corner with the driver-side front-end of the mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette hitting the front-end driver-side of a Ford Ranger pickup.
If you have ever driven on winding California mountain roads, you know that they can be both extremely fun and extremely dangerous. The road is narrow, the drop off the road is often very steep, and there is no shortage of fast cars going fast and slow cars trying to go fast. From the images we see, we imagine that one of the two cars involved took the corner too close to the inside or perhaps slid out of the corner into the other lane.
The 2020 Corvette crash was surely recorded by the host of GoPros visible on the other C8 Corvette vehicles which were part of a convoy. We will surely get more details about the accident in the next few days.
