We supposed that most SUVs, with the proper gear, could tackle rougher roads than those of downtown Toronto or Los Angeles. The idea behind these official renderings from Fisker serves to show that the Ocean SUV would make a great environmentally friendly work tool for various international organizations.
In a conversation with Top Gear, Henrik Fisker himself said: “The low centre of gravity and wide track brings added stability and makes the Fisker Ocean a perfect clean sustainable utility vehicle, that can be used by international organizations, which needs to deploy rescue vehicles in rural areas, it can also be used as a zero-emission military version to transport military personnel, as oil is one of the largest expenses for the military.”
The Fisker Ocean, slated for production as of 2022, will be powered by an 80 kWh battery and deliver between 250-300 miles (400-485km) of range. Pricing for the base Ocean is set at $37,499. When asked if this hardcore Ocean was to be built, Fisker said that they will display this vehicle next year and make it available for purchase.
