Ford has introduced the 2026 Explorer Tremor, the first time the three-row midsize SUV gets to carry the Tremor badge – a version that will undoubtedly be popular. Canadian ordering begins June 24, with showroom arrivals expected by late 2025.

The Explorer Tremor offers off-road-specific enhancements, including a 1-inch increase in ride height, 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and revised approach and departure angles. A Torsen limited-slip rear differential and underbody skid plates are included as standard equipment. Additional features such as LED off-road lights and recovery hooks contribute to the vehicle’s trail-readiness.
Two EcoBoost engines are available: a standard 2.3-litre four-cylinder producing 300 horsepower and an optional customer-requested 3.0-litre V6 generating 400 horsepower, shared with the performance-focused Explorer ST. The Tremor also includes an off-road tuned suspension with unique springs and sway bars tailored for uneven terrain.

Driver assistance and connectivity systems are prominent in the Tremor trim. BlueCruise 1.5, Ford’s latest hands-free highway driving system with Automatic Lane Change, is available. Also featured is the Ford Digital Experience, offering integration with Google Assistant, embedded Google Maps, and apps via Google Play. Standard driver-assist features include Copilot 360 Assist 2.0 with a 360-degree camera to enhance visibility in urban or off-road settings.
Optional features include massaging front seats and a 14-speaker B&O audio system, aiming to maintain comfort alongside the vehicle’s off-road capability.
The Tremor joins the Canadian Explorer lineup alongside the Active, ST-Line, ST, and Platinum trims. The Tremor will be priced in the vicinity of the ST, ranging from $70,000 to $72,000. The Tremor is expected to be a highly sought-after trim by Canadian consumers.
