Ford partners with Amazon Autos to list certified pre-owned vehicles in three U.S. cities.
Vehicles include warranty, inspection, and a 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee.
Program grows Amazon’s used-car listings and supports Ford’s Blue Advantage platform.
Ford has partnered with Amazon to offer certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles through the Amazon Autos platform, beginning with dealer listings in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas. The announcement makes Ford the second automaker to join Amazon’s online car-shopping marketplace, which launched in 2024 with Hyundai.
The platform allows customers to browse CPO inventory, apply for financing, complete purchases, and schedule vehicle pickups directly through Amazon. Inventory searches can be filtered by make, model, year, and colour, with results displayed within a 75-mile (120 km) radius. Listings also feature vehicle pricing, specifications, and history.
Ford’s participation increases Amazon Autos’ offerings, which added used-vehicle listings in August 2024. Vehicles listed through the platform are sold by Ford dealerships and include those backed by the Ford Blue Advantage CPO program.
Ford Blue Advantage includes a company-backed limited warranty and a two-week or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee. CPO inventory is divided into certification tiers: Gold Certified and EV Certified vehicles include a 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty, while Blue Certified vehicles receive 90-day/4,000-mile coverage. All certified vehicles come with roadside assistance.
The Blue Advantage program, launched in 2021, is powered by Autotrader and provides pricing transparency tools such as Kelley Blue Book’s Price Advisor. In addition to Ford-branded models, the platform also lists certified vehicles from other manufacturers.
The initiative was launched during the industrywide semiconductor shortage to help dealers offset declining new-vehicle inventories. Ford said dealers enrolled in the Blue Advantage program reported measurable increases in used vehicle sales.
