Bronco RTR adds factory-built high-speed off-road capability below Bronco Raptor in Ford’s lineup.
Standard 33-inch tires and high-clearance suspension create a new Bronco hardware combination.
Orders open in October, with customer sales scheduled to begin in January 2027.
Ford is adding a new performance-focused Bronco variant developed with RTR Vehicles. The new 2027 Bronco RTR is a factory-built option for buyers seeking fast desert-style off-road capability without breaking the bank for a Bronco Raptor.

The model grows Ford’s collaboration with RTR beyond Mustang and draws on lessons from Formula Drift, Ultra4 competition and King of the Hammers racing. Development work for the Bronco RTR took place in Johnson Valley, California, as well as Baja Mexico, with input from RTR founder Vaughn Gittin Jr. and off-road racer Loren Healy.
Bronco RTR arrives with a standard high-clearance suspension and 33-inch rugged-terrain tires, a combination Ford said has not previously been offered on Bronco. This is just the beginning. An available Sasquatch package raises the ceiling further with 35-inch Goodyear rugged-terrain tires and a HOSS 3.0 suspension with Fox internal-bypass shocks. This setup, previously limited to Badlands in the Bronco range, delivers the highest suspension performance available short of Bronco Raptor.

Perhaps surprisingly, the four-door Bronco RTR is powered by the 2.3L EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Why no V6? Simple: this powertrain was selected in part to reduce front-end weight and improve agility in dunes and loose terrain.
The mechanical package includes software-operated anti-lag technology designed for off-road use. Anti-lag, frequently used in motorsports, keeps the turbocharger ready for faster throttle response when the terrain changes quickly, including in deep sand. Cooling upgrades include the 1,000-watt fan used in the Bronco Raptor, while reinforced steering hardware increases durability during extended off-road driving.

Design changes are meant to separate the model visually from other Broncos. Bronco RTR gets an RTR grille with signature lighting, 17-inch beadlock-capable RTR Evo 6 wheels, heritage-inspired wheel arches and Hyper Lime accents across graphics and wheel rock rings. Avalanche Gray joins the palette as a new colour shared with Mustang RTR.
Inside, the truck gets Hyper Lime seatbelts, stitching, grab handles and instrument-panel accents, along with embossed RTR seatback logos, topographical dashboard graphics and a Bronco RTR-specific startup screen. Standard cabin equipment includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control and Ford Co-Pilot 360 driver-assistance features.
Orders are set to open in October, with sales beginning in January 2027. Pricing is not yet known.
