March madness is spreading
Bracket aims to pick which is the ultimate Ford
Not enough basketball madness for you this month? How about a Ford Frenzy? Ford has launched an ongoing Twitter bracket poll that wants to put an end to the question: Which is the Ultimate Ford vehicle?
The bracket starts with 64 Ford vehicles, ranging back as far as the Model T. Some are iconic, some are oddballs, but all are up for you to vote on. Broken out into four “conferences”, Piquette, Rotunda, Rouge and Dagenham, all named for Ford facilities of significant importance (three near Detroit, Dagenham in London, England).
The opening round sees some tough choices including the 1960 F-100 vs the 1991 Explorer and the XR Falcon GT vs the 1962 Country Squire, but then there are also some really strange pairings like the 2017 Ford GT against a 1987 commercial box truck and joke pairings like the Flex vs the Edsel. Oh, and don’t think we missed that you’ve spelt Merkur wrong, Ford! Obviously, we’d love for the box truck to win it all, so get in there and get those votes.
Ford hasn’t mentioned a planned prize for the contest, but since loads of us are still stuck at home, it’s a great time to make a contest bracket with your friends to decide which one you think is the best Ford. Maybe make a wager or two?
Pick your faves or let them know which cars Ford forgot and why they should have made the list using the Twitter tag FordFrenzy, with the polls running through the rest of the month.
