Ford Launches Power Promise to Enhance EV Ownership in Canada With Free Chargers

Ford’s new Power Promise program offers Canadian EV owners charging solutions, battery warranties, and 24/7 support.

  • Ford Power Promise includes free home chargers and installation for select EVs until March 31, 2025.

  • The program offers 24/7 live support, battery warranties, and access to the BlueOval Charge Network.

  • Ford EV sales in Canada rose 66.1% in 2024, highlighting growing demand and adoption.

Ford of Canada has introduced the Ford Power Promise, a new program designed to support electric vehicle (EV) owners with home charging solutions, 24/7 customer support, battery warranties, and enhanced on-the-road charging options.

As part of the program, customers who purchase or lease an eligible new Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit between February 1 and March 31, 2025, will receive a complimentary home charger and standard installation. Quebec residents are offered a discounted charger and installation bundle for $2,450 plus tax, compared to the regular estimated retail value of $3,600. Ford has partnered with RocketEV Charging Solutions Inc. to provide certified installation services nationwide.

Ford’s BlueOval Charge Network integrates multiple charging providers for charging away from home, including access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. The system features Connected Navigation, automatically adding charging stops to routes and Plug & Pay, allowing seamless payments through the FordPass app.

Ford offers an 8-year/160,000-km high-voltage battery limited warranty on all its fully electric vehicles to boost customer confidence in battery reliability. Additionally, the program provides 24/7 live support for technical assistance, including charging guidance and complimentary Roadside Assistance for vehicles with low battery range.

Ford is focusing on improving the EV ownership experience. The company reports record EV sales in Canada, with a 66.1% year-over-year increase in 2024. Despite growing adoption rates, Ford recognizes that many potential buyers remain hesitant due to concerns about charging accessibility and long-term support. The program’s timing may also help ease the pain caused by the loss of government incentives.

“We want customers across Canada to feel confident they can choose the Ford vehicle they want to drive and the powertrain that’s right for them,” said Bev Goodman, president and CEO of Ford Canada.
