Rendering shows what the Ford Maverick could look like with the Bronco Sport as a starting point
Ford appears to be planning a new small pickup that will likely go by the name Maverick. This rendering shows what the Ford Maverick could look like if Ford used the recent Ford Bronco Sport as inspiration.
The rendering by Brazil Automotive is very well done, something that isn’t usually the case when it comes to pickup renderings.
The design uses the recently leaked Maverick tailgate and a Ford Bronco Sport front end to create a small pickup that would slot beneath the Ford Ranger or replace it outright. It may also not come to North America at all, leaving our truck lineup the way it is.
The demand for small trucks has picked up in recent years after GM brought back the Chevy Colorado and the GMC Canyon. Toyota then redesigned the Tacoma and Ford brought back the Ranger.
Is there a market for something smaller? You never know until you try. In the meantime, Ford is expected to release a pickup version of the Bronco to compete with the Jeep Gladiator.
We’ll surely learn more about the Ford Maverick soon enough as it is expected next year.
