With the official launch happening this month, Ford partners with Idris Elba for the launch of the Mustang-inspired electric crossover.
The all-new and upcoming all-electric Mustang-inspired SUV will break cover officially on November 17th, 2019, ahead of the LA Auto Show. That we already knew.
Now, two weeks away from the global reveal, Ford announced that it was teaming up with English actor Idris Elba, in what the American carmaker calls a creative partnership, to help launch this new crossover.
The British star said, “Most people don’t know this, but I worked at Ford as a young guy. My dad also worked at Ford. It’s practically in my blood. So working on this project and getting behind the wheel of a car that takes us all towards the future feels like things are coming full circle, but with more exhilaration and tech.”
The silhouette of the upcoming EV was teased for the first time last month as well as its range.
Indeed, the Dearborn, Michigan manufacturer said in an earlier statement that the Mustang-inspired SUV will have a driving range of up to 600 km (more than 370 miles under WLTP regulations).
The all-electric crossover’s reveal will be livestreamed from an undisclosed location in Los Angeles on November 17th, 2019, at 6 PM PST, ahead of its first public display at the 2019 LA Auto Show.
