Ford has recently disclosed the upcoming release of an advanced supercharger kit for the 2024 Mustang, as reported in a press release from the company. This latest offering from Ford Performance Parts is designed to significantly elevate the output of the Mustang GT’s 5.0-liter V8 engine, breaking past the 800-horsepower threshold.

According to Michael Goodwin, the product manager at Ford Performance, this enhancement is engineered to satisfy the power aspirations of Mustang enthusiasts, taking the vehicle’s performance to a new extreme. This power-boosting component will be accessible to all owners of the seventh-generation Ford Mustang models that house the specified V8 engine. Ford also teased the future availability of a supercharger kit tailored specifically for the Dark Horse edition of the Mustang.

This performance upgrade is centered around a 3.0-liter Whipple twin-screw supercharger, which is the cornerstone of the system. The kit is packed with a suite of high-performance parts, including a cutting-edge cooling and dual intercooler setup, high flow fuel injectors, fuel rails, a 92mm throttle body, and a comprehensive 120mm dual air intake system. These components are integral to the substantial increase in power, ensuring the engine can safely and efficiently handle the augmented output.

In addition, the kit includes the Tomahawk V2 flash tool, which not only enhances the car’s performance but also offers data logging capabilities, a valuable feature for those who wish to monitor and fine-tune their vehicle’s performance metrics.

The supercharger kit has been rigorously tested to meet Ford’s durability standards. It comes with a substantial warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles. To ensure emissions compliance, particularly in states with strict regulations like California, the kit maintains CARB compliance when installed by either a dealer or an ASE-certified technician. Ford plans to make this supercharger kit available for purchase in 2024, following its debut at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.
