It can add about 20 miles per charging hour to a Mustang Mach-E.
Ford’s Pro Power Onboard is available on the 2022 F-150 Lightning and F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid.
Pickup truck owners are always good to have as friends if you don’t own your own. And if said friend happens to own a new Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid or soon to take delivery of a 2022 F-150 Lightning which is equipped with Pro Power Onboard, you may want to have them over for a drink during the Holidays.
Ford’s Pro Power Onboard can deliver Level-2 charging capable of lending a hand to an EV that might be low on electrons. It is estimated that it can add an average range of 20 miles per charging hour on a Mustang Mach-E with an extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive. It will do the same or nearly for any EV thanks to its 240-volt Pro Power Onboard outlet.
“There are hundreds of benefits to Ford Pro Power Onboard – and we’ve added one more,” said Patrick Soderborg, Ford e-powertrain systems engineer. “Taking power on the road or having extra energy at home brings a lot of convenience and security, and using the F-150 Lightning or F-150 hybrid to top off a friend’s electric vehicle or help them during an outage is one of the many new benefits our customers gain from our Built Ford Tough electrified trucks.”
If you do own a new F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid or are soon to take delivery of a 2022 F-150 Lightning, expect to make new friends.
