FRANKFURT: The Mercedes-AMG Project One is a Formula One for the road

Mercedes-AMG dove into its Formula One parts bin and when it was all said and done, they had the Mercedes-AMG Project One, an electrified supercar that was unveiled yesterday at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Project One is powered by four electric motors and a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 engine. Together, these five engines produce 1000 horsepower delivered to all four wheels which will surely translate into exceptional handling. The Project One reaches 200 km/h in 6.0 seconds, but can also travel about 25 kilometers in 100% electric mode according to its manufacturer.

Another interesting element is that the Mercedes-AMG Project One powertrain is capable of reaching 11,000 rpm. Imagine the sound …
