GM’s on course to launch 30 new EVs by 2025.
This new electric Buick crossover should premiere this summer.
The teaser image shows little more than an LED light that signals what the future Buick’s signature lighting will look like. This new Buick crossover will see the light of day this summer when it is expected to be fully revealed.
We’re fans of all @GM EVs, but this summer we will show you our dreams of a groovy electric future. ⚡️ We’re sure a mastermind who makes his own quasi-futuristic clothes will be impressed. 🤯 https://t.co/7r3Czy8CXV pic.twitter.com/e1XzwFEVsJ

Beyond the lighting, nothing else is known about the all-electric crossover. What we can surmise is that this new EV may look more like the Buick Electra Concept revealed at the 2020 Beijing Motor Show than we would have guessed. In fact, the lighting is all but completely identical to that of the concept.
Buick’s tweet includes “our dreams of a groovy electric future” which could be a hint to the electric CUV’s name. Considering that the Electra was offered for sale from 1959 to 1990, the return of the name seems probable. Or, perhaps these words are in reference to the excellent GM commercial that aired at the Super Bowl and starred non-other than Dr. Evil.

One way or another, it won’t be a 4-seater GT with quad gullwing doors. We’ll know more this summer.
