Genesis Introduces GV60 Magma to Nürburgring Track Taxi Experience

Genesis has expanded its Nürburgring Track Taxi programme by adding the all-electric GV60 Magma alongside the existing G70 performance sedan.

  • GV60 Magma joins Genesis’ Nürburgring Track Taxi programme before European market launch.

  • Electric SUV delivers 641 hp, dual-motor all-wheel drive and advanced chassis technologies.

  • G70 Track Taxi fleet has completed 1,300 Nürburgring laps since 2024.

Genesis has boosted its Nürburgring Track Taxi programme by introducing the all-electric GV60 Magma, giving passengers an opportunity to experience the brand’s first high-performance EV on Germany’s legendary Nordschleife before the model reaches European customers later this year.

The GV60 Magma joins the existing fleet of specially prepared G70 sports sedans, which have formed the foundation of the Track Taxi programme since its launch in 2024. The initiative offers public passenger rides around the 73 corners of the 20.832-kilometre Nürburgring Nordschleife.

According to Genesis Motor Europe Managing Director Peter Kronschnabl, adding the GV60 Magma represents the next stage of the brand’s European development while allowing customers and enthusiasts to experience Genesis’ all-electric performance capabilities in a demanding real-world environment.

The new GV60 Magma uses a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain producing up to 478 kW (641 hp) and 790 Nm (583 lb-ft) of torque. Each electric motor operates at speeds exceeding 20,000 rpm. With Boost mode engaged, the performance SUV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds before continuing to a top speed of 266 km/h.

To support repeated high-performance driving, Genesis has equipped the vehicle with Michelin Pilot Sport 5S rubber and a braking package that combines regenerative braking with 400 mm brake discs, monoblock callipers, and an anti-lock braking system.

Handling technologies include torque vectoring and an electronic limited-slip differential that actively distributes power between the front and rear axles to help manage understeer and oversteer during demanding track driving. The GV60 Magma also features newly developed 10-way bucket seats that offer additional support for passengers during high-speed laps.

The G70 remains an important part of the programme. Powered by a 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 producing 272 kW (365 hp) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft), the sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and continues to provide Track Taxi rides alongside the new electric model.

Since the programme began, nearly 3,000 passengers have completed rides in the G70 fleet. The two vehicles have collectively covered approximately 27,082 kilometres over 1,300 laps of the Nordschleife while consuming more than 180 sets of tires.
