Genesis Laval Holds Grand Opening After Topping April Sales

The official grand opening of Genesis Laval, the newest permanent dealership in ALBI le Géant’s luxury portfolio, took place Thursday evening. The invitation-only event drew a big crowd to 3787 Desserte Nord, Autoroute 440 Est on May 14, 2026.

The headline number came out early in the ceremony. According to a national sales ranking shared at the event, Genesis Laval ranked as the top-selling Genesis dealer in Canada in April 2026, with 49 vehicles delivered. Eric Marshall, Director of Genesis Motor Canada, confirmed the figure during his remarks. What makes the result stand out is the timing: April 2026 was the dealership’s first month of operations at this address, after opening its doors on April 1.

ALBI Leadership, Genesis Canada and a Symbolic Gift

Cathy Laroche, Vice-President of Brand & Experience at Genesis Laval, opened the ceremony. Marshall followed up by unveiling a Joseon-style Korean moon jar, known as a dalhangari, presented to the dealership as a symbolic piece. The wooden base carries the inscription “Congratulations Genesis Laval / Genesis Retail Experience Facility 2026.”

ALBI le Géant founder Denis Leclerc was also on hand, along with the full dealership team. A ribbon cutting marked the formal opening of the showroom.

From a 2018 Pop-Up to a Permanent Flagship

The Laval site has been a long time coming. Genesis Laval started in 2018 as a pop-up store inside Carrefour Laval, then moved to a temporary location in Mascouche, before finally settling into its permanent home on the Autoroute 440 service road earlier this spring. The standalone building follows the Genesis Retail Experience design language, with a curved wood arch, a living plant wall and a lounge area furnished with warm leather seating.

A Habs Win to Close the Night

The timing worked out well for the room. A large screen installed in the showroom switched on shortly after the formal program ended, just in time for the Canadiens’ 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Catering, drinks and a DJ rounded out the evening.

GV60 Magma Preview Coming June 18 to 20

Cathy Laroche confirmed that Genesis Laval will host a public preview of the upcoming Genesis GV60 Magma, the brand’s high-performance halo model, from June 18 to 20, 2026. Canadian availability and pricing for the Magma have not been confirmed by Genesis Motor Canada.
