Both concepts are based on the G90 flagship sedan.
The Coupe is inspired by olive trees, and the convertible is inspired by European wines.
Genesis also showcased its upcoming GMR-001 hypercar.
Genesis used the Seoul Mobility Show as an opportunity to unveil its two latest concepts, the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible.
Built on the production G90 sedan, these two concepts showcase how the brand, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, could continue to move its reach upmarket to enter even more luxurious markets.
Essentially coupe and convertible versions of one another, the X Gran concepts share most of their design elements, such as a prominent “crest” radiator grille, thin LED headlamp strips, flowing body lines, and full-width taillamp strips.

Differences include the wheel designs and the roof treatment, with the convertible favouring a smooth, flowing profile and the coupe adopting a more dynamic roof design reminiscent of American muscle cars.
Inside, both concepts once again share most of their components, including crystal accents on the steering wheel, center console, and air vents.
The X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible also feature rear entertainment screens and center consoles, making them four-passenger models.
Something unusual for concepts, the interiors look fully complete, with all of the expected controls and creature comforts. This could hint at a possible production variant, but the automaker hasn’t confirmed anything.

No details have been revealed about the powertrains of these concepts either, but they likely use the same 3.5L twin-turbo V6 as the G90 sedan.
In addition to their roof design, the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible differ in their exterior and interior colours.
Indeed, the Coupe is inspired by Mediterranean olive trees, which explains its dark green metallic paint colour and combination brown and green leather interior. Olive wood accents with etched leaf motifs are included in the dashboard and door panels.

The X Gran Convertible is inspired by south European wines, with the metallic purple exterior colour recalling pressed grapes and the vivid blue interior meant to evoke Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Livorno Region of Italy.
Genesis also unveiled a half-scale version of its upcoming GMR-001 hypercar for the first time in Korea. The full-size version of this race car will mark the brand’s motorsports debut when it is entered in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship and the 2027 IMSA Sportscar Championship.
The 2025 Seoul Mobility Show takes place from April 4 to 13 and visitors will also be able to see the previously unveiled GV60 Magma concept, along with production versions of the G90, the GV60, the GV70, and the GV80.
