Get Ready for Less Wait Times and Lower Prices With Ford’s 2023 Mustang Mach-E Plans

Ford wants to show other automakers that it will play ball in the EV space

  • Price cuts range from $4,750 – $8,500 depending on the model.

  • Ford will increase Mach-E production for 2023.

Ford recently announced plans to significantly increase production of the Mustang Mach-E in 2023, as part of their Ford+ Plan designed to make EVs more accessible for customers. They’ll also reduce prices for those awaiting delivery and offer private offers for those who already have their vehicles.

The Mustang Mach-E has been a popular choice among electric vehicle buyers, thanks to its available EPA estimated 490+ km range, BlueCruise hands-free driving on over 200,000 km highways, and the ability to keep up with the times through Ford Power Up software updates. As a result, customer wait times have grown due to limited production capacity. To help address this issue, Ford has allocated additional serious resources to increase production in 2023.

This increased availability will not only reduce wait times but also allow them to offer more competitive prices. Customers awaiting delivery will receive adjusted prices automatically while those who already have their vehicles will get private offers from Ford. The reduction in price is as high as $8,500.

Ford’s commitment to making electric vehicles more accessible is part of its larger plan that includes investing $29 billion in electrification by 2025 across the world. They hope to get more people in EVs faster with increased production capacity.

“We are not going to cede ground to anyone. We are producing more EVs to reduce customer wait times, offering competitive pricing and working to create an ownership experience that is second to none,” said Marin Gjaja, Chief Customer Officer, of Ford Model e. “Our customers are at the centre of everything we do – as we continue to build thrilling and exciting electric vehicles, we will continue to push the boundaries to make EVs more accessible for everybody.”
