First Goodyear all-terrain tire engineered specifically for electric pickup trucks
ElectricDrive AT addresses noise reduction and high-torque demands of EVs
Two additional all-terrain models launched for conventional SUVs and work vehicles
Goodyear has released its first all-terrain tire engineered specifically for electric pickup trucks and SUVs. The Wrangler ElectricDrive AT targets vehicles including the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and Rivian R1S, addressing the distinct performance requirements of battery-electric platforms in off-road conditions.
SoundComfort Technology and Winter Certification
The ElectricDrive AT incorporates SoundComfort Technology to reduce interior noise levels—a priority in electric vehicles where traditional engine noise no longer masks tire sound. The tire carries Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification for severe snow service and is backed by an 80,000-kilometre tread life limited warranty.
Electric vehicles deliver instant torque and carry significantly higher curb weights than comparable internal combustion vehicles due to battery pack mass. These factors place different structural and thermal demands on tire construction, particularly in all-terrain applications where off-road traction compounds the engineering challenge.
Two Additional All-Terrain Models Launch Simultaneously

Goodyear introduced two conventional all-terrain tires alongside the ElectricDrive AT. The Wrangler Outbound AT fits adventure SUVs, including the GMC Yukon, Ford F-150, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Toyota 4Runner, featuring DuPont Kevlar reinforcement and a 105,000-kilometre warranty.
The Wrangler Workhorse AT 2 targets commercial applications in vehicles such as the Ford F-Series, Ram ProMaster, and Chevrolet Tahoe. This tire includes 3PMSF certification across all available sizes and carries a 90,000-kilometre warranty.
“This new all-terrain premium lineup reflects our drive to deliver cutting-edge solutions for every kind of journey—from job sites to backcountry trails to the growing fleet of electric vehicles,” said Jonathan Thomas, director of category and strategy for Goodyear.
Availability in Canada
All three tires are available through Goodyear’s retail network and authorized dealers across Canada. The company backs each model with its 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
