The SUVs will be assembled on a dedicated EV platform.
Murray has been busy launching the T.33 and T.50 over the last few years.
Gordon Murray is a living legend in the automotive industry. His accomplishments speak for themselves which is why whenever he speaks about a new upcoming vehicle, the automotive media pays attention. On the heels of the incredible T.50 and T.33, Gordon Murray Automotive is preparing a pair of electric SUVs.
Details are scarce however one of the two SUVs is being prepared for an unnamed third party automaker. The other will bear the Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) logo. About the two vehicles, Murray says that they will “change the way we think about range anxiety and vehicle dynamics,” according to Autocar.
There’s little doubt that these SUVs will be exceptional based on everything Murray has done over the past decades. About them, one will be a FWD 4-seater model while the other will be an AWD 5-seater. Our best guess is that the 4-seater is slated for the other OEM.
Both will be based on a “revolutionary, lightweight, ultra-efficient electric vehicle architecture” and most importantly perhaps is that Murray says that these ECs will be affordably priced. Now, it’s difficult to imagine a GMA SUV that will retail for under $50,000 US but anything’s possible.
