Is This the Future 2025 Nissan Murano?

Little is known for the moment about the new Nissan Murano but we're almost certain this is it.

It seems that an Internet user has caught a glimpse of the next-generation Nissan Murano on the roads of Quebec. That’s what the photos we see here would suggest.

As you can see, the vehicle bears a Michigan license plate reserved for automobile manufacturers. The vehicle is also covered with a wrap-around film so as not to be identified. The badges are also camouflaged.

The vehicle was spotted in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on January 8, 2024, in Charlesbourg, Quebec.

This isn’t the first time a possible prototype of the future Nissan Murano has been spotted on the road. Indeed, an American media outlet photographed a similar vehicle last September in the Detroit metropolitan area.

For the moment, few details are known about the next-generation Nissan Murano, which may be sold as a 2025 model year vehicle. We have no technical information on hand however, in the spirit of speculation, we could imagine that the fourth-generation Nissan Murano would be built on the DF platform used for the Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60. It’s also safe to assume that the future Murano could be powered by either the naturally-aspirated 3.5L V6 or a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine.

The third-generation Nissan Murano has been on the market since 2015. The latter is powered by a 3.5L V6 mated to a continuously variable transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard. A slight update was carried out in 2019. For 2024, the Nissan Murano starts at $45,624. Four versions are offered: SV, SL, Midnight Edition and Platinum. It can accommodate up to five occupants.

At the time of publication, we were awaiting official comment from Nissan Canada’s public relations department.
