Hennessey Unleashes Supercharged 850-Horsepower ‘H850’ 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse

Hennessey's H850 Ford Mustang Dark Horse shows that they’ve not lost their touch

Hennessey Performance, the renowned Texas-based hypercar manufacturer and high-performance vehicle creator, has just announced its latest offering: high-performance supercharged upgrades for the all-new, seventh-generation 2024 Ford S650 Mustang Dark Horse. This comprehensive turn-key package not only dramatically boosts engine output but also enhances the appearance of America’s iconic pony car.

Under the hood, the 2024 Dark Horse is equipped with Ford’s naturally aspirated Gen-4 Coyote 5.0-liter V8, which has been upgraded with GT500 connecting rods and a dual throttle body by the automaker, resulting in a factory rating of 500 horsepower. Whether you prefer the Tremec 6-speed manual or Ford’s 10-speed automatic, both transmission options come with track-focused features, including upgraded multi-piston Brembo performance brakes on all axles.

To take the Dark Horse to the next level, Hennessey’s skilled technicians employ their expertise in fitting the V8 engine with a high-performance supercharger, a high-flow air induction system, upgraded fuel injectors, and a new fuel pump. With the help of HPE Engine Management software upgrade, the result is the impressive ‘H850’ Dark Horse, boasting an incredible 850 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque—a staggering 70 percent increase in power!

Not only does the ‘H850’ Ford Mustang Dark Horse pack an incredible punch under the hood, but it also receives visual enhancements to match its performance. The exterior is adorned with a sleek carbon-fiber front splitter, carbon-fiber side skirts, and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Completing the stylish makeover are a set of stunning forged aluminum alloy wheels. Inside, Hennessey’s embroidered head restraints add a touch of exclusivity.

How Ford’s Wind Tunnel Shaped the Mighty Mustang Dark Horse

John Hennessey, founder, and CEO of Hennessey Performance, expressed his excitement for the project: “Our supercharged Mustang builds have continually been customer favorites over the years, and Ford’s improved S650 platform will prove to be its most capable. Without question, our supercharged 850 horsepower Dark Horse model will be one of the most exciting and powerful muscle cars on the road—sure to turn heads with its distinctive supercharger wail and exhaust note.”

Furthermore, Hennessey backs up its upgrades with a comprehensive 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty, ensuring peace of mind for customers. Production of the ‘H850’ Ford Mustang Dark Horse models is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023.
