Hennessey Performance unveils ‘Final Edition’ of EXORCIST Camaro ZL1 with 1,000 horsepower.
Extensive engine upgrades result in 0-60 mph in 2.1 seconds, top speed of 217 mph.
The limited series aims to outperform Dodge’s new Demon 170, offers 3-year warranty.
Hennessey Performance, the Texas-based high-performance vehicle manufacturer, has rolled out the ‘Final Edition’ series of their lauded EXORCIST Camaro ZL1 upgrade. Initially aimed to outperform Dodge’s Demon Challenger with its 840 hp output, the EXORCIST has remained true to its roots, especially in light of Dodge’s new Demon 170 boasting 1,025 horsepower. In stock form, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 offers a 6.2-litre supercharged LT4 V8 engine that delivers 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Performance Upgrades Elevate the Final Edition to New Heights
Hennessey’s team of technicians have upgraded the Camaro’s engine extensively. The LT4 engine has been fitted with a larger high-flow supercharger, high-flow air induction system, and the auxiliary fuel system, fuel injectors, and fuel pump have been modified. The heads of the V8 powerplant are ported, and high-flow catalytic converters, among other upgrades, are installed. The modifications result in a remarkable 1,000 horsepower and 966 lb-ft of torque, a 54% increase in power and a 49% increase in torque compared to the stock model. Performance metrics are also impressive: the EXORCIST ‘Final Edition’ can hit 0-60 mph in 2.1 seconds, complete a quarter-mile in 9.57 seconds, and reach a top speed of 217 mph.
The limited edition comes with a unique ‘Final Edition X of 57’ serial-numbered engine bay plaque, signifying 57 years since the Camaro was first introduced. Hennessey’s EXORCIST ‘Final Edition’ also offers a comprehensive 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty, offering buyers peace of mind alongside outstanding performance.
John Hennessey, the company’s founder and CEO, noted that the EXORCIST’s “chassis, suspension, and powerplant work seamlessly together, so all the driver experiences is raw, unbridled horsepower.”
With these specifications and performance metrics, Hennessey’s EXORCIST Camaro ZL1 ‘Final Edition’ is poised to give competitors, especially Dodge’s newest Demon, a serious run for their money.
