Lamborghini’s been on something of a high for the last two decades. Most of the models introduced so far in the 21st century have gone on to break numerous records and this includes the brand’s flagship supercar, the Aventador.
Here are four facts about the Aventador that you may not know:
1-It is the best-selling V12 car in Lamborghini’s history. In fact, more new Lamborghini Aventadors have been sold than all other past V12 cars combined which numbered 7,000. Last September, the 10,000th unit was sold. What’s more, by its 5th production year, the Aventador had outsold the Murciélago entire run.
2-The Aventador is a Hollywood car. It co-starred in numerous films including being the Batmobile in “The Dark Knight Rises”.
3-It was the first Lamborghini to offer a customizable Driving Mode. It was the first to feature the MagneRide adaptive suspension and the first Lamborghini with rear-steering wheels.
4- The Aventador “Ultimae”. This is the final iteration of the Aventador, and the last to include a longitudinal rear naturally-aspirated V12 engine this time capable of 780 horsepower. Only 350 will be built and it will set the stage for the next generation of super sports cars that will be equipped with hybrid technology.
