Here are the 2022 World Car of the Year Finalists


  • The jury consists of 102 journalists from 33 countries.

  • For 2022, there were 28 contenders.

  • The winners in the six categories will be announced at the 2022 NYIAS.


The World Car of the Year awards are among the most prestigious in the world. This year’s crop of contenders has entries from automakers from every corner of the globe.

The top 3 finalists will be shared on March 15th while the big winners will be known at this year’s New York International Auto Show on April 13th.
