Heritage Edition Package For Ford Mustang GT350 a tribute to Shelby’s 1965 fastback

The Heritage Edition Package builds a visual link with the first 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350

  • This package celebrates 55 years of Shelby racing heritage.
  • Classic livery in Wimbledon White paint and Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top racing stripes.
  • A $2,500 option on the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R.

No other aftermarket tuner is better known or admired in North America, the world perhaps, than Shelby. The impact Carroll Shelby on the American car industry is and will always synonymous with performance and success. His signature livery, first introduced on the 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 fastback coupe is also synonymous with performance.

It’s been 55 years since since Ken Miles made the Shelby GT350 an overnight legend when he won at Green Valley Raceway in Texas in early 1965. This Shelby GT350 was painted Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue racing stripes but this was not a unique paint scheme at the time. In fact, these were the US’ assigned international racing colours since the 1950s. This historical fact, however, has taken a backseat to Shelby, and with reason.

To celebrate 55 years of Shelby, the new and incredibly potent 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R will be available with an optional Heritage Edition Package that will not only include the livery but exterior and interior badges. The GT350R will also get all-black seats with red stitching.
