This new model will be the third in the brand’s Upcoming O Series of EVs.
Honda will also showcase a new Mini-EV that could build on the Super EV Concept unveiled this summer.
The 2025 Tokyo Mobility Show will take place from October 31 to November 9.
It won’t surprise anyone in North America to hear that Honda is late to the EV game, with only the GM-developed and manufactured Prologue to offer buyers in search of an electric car.
In addition, the company recently abandoned the Acura ZDX, a more premium version of the Prologue, and announced a 30% reduction in its EV investments, which will now reach 7 trillion Yen (CAD $66,4 billion). The money that has been freed up will be used to further the company’s hybrid developments, helping it achieve its new goal of introducing 13 new hybrids between 2027 and 2030.
Nevertheless, Honda is still working on its first generation of EVs developed entirely in-house for the global market, called 0 Series.
Unveiled with the 0 Series Saloon and SUV concepts at the CES show back in January, this new family of electric models is expected to reach North American customers first, starting sometime next year.
Ahead of the Tokyo Mobility Show, which will take place in Japan’s capital from October 31 to November 9, Honda teased a third member of its upcoming lineup of EVs.

Indeed, a picture of the brand’s stand at the future Tokyo show displays at least eight vehicles kept under black sheets.
While the distinctive silhouettes of the 0 Series Saloon and SUV concepts are recognizable, they are joined by a new SUV that is shorter and lower, featuring a curved roofline.
This as-yet-unnamed Honda EV is expected to be more affordable than the quite large 0 Series SUV, making it possible for more drivers to get behind the wheel of an electric Honda in the next few years.
Alongside the three 0 Series models, Honda will also showcase a small electric prototype that could be based on the Super EV concept, which was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
Honda to Launch Sub-$30,000 EV in North America Under New 0 Series
Said to be undergoing testing in the United Kingdom, this sporty box on wheels is likely the successor to the retro-styled Honda e, sold in Europe and Asia from 2019 to 2023.
Like its predecessor, the production version of the Super EV concept is not expected to make its way to North America, being too small for local tastes and regulations.
Despite its initial reluctance towards electrification, Honda now aims to make electric vehicles a pillar of its operations by the end of the decade, helped in good part by the upcoming 0 Series models.
