Honda Reveals e:Ny1: A New Milestone in the Electric Evolution

Honda has introduced its latest all-electric vehicle, the e:Ny1, a compact SUV that encompasses trademark Honda dynamics, responsive driving, and exceptional ride comfort. This innovative vehicle marks a significant step forward in Honda’s journey toward achieving its electric ambitions.

Honda’s e:Ny1 platform features a high-performance, lightweight, integrated power drive unit, electric motor, and gearbox, generating a maximum output of 150 kW and 229 lb-ft of torque. It includes a high-capacity lithium-ion battery with a range of 412 km and DC fast-charging capability, charging from 10 to 80% in 45 minutes. The model’s new chassis, developed specifically for electric vehicles, and the use of high-tensile steel in 47% of the body, ensure improved torsional rigidity, contributing to the e:Ny1’s dynamic performance and exceptional comfort.

Furthermore, th e:Ny1 is built on the new e:N Architecture F, a front-motor-driven platform with a high-rigidity body, low center of gravity, and optimized under-floor aerodynamics for an enjoyable and confident drive. The vehicle’s new chassis, specifically developed for electric vehicles and employing high-tensile steel in 47% of the body, enhances torsional rigidity. Combined with the new platform and powertrain, these features ensure dynamic performance, exceptional comfort, and refinement in Honda’s latest electric vehicle.

Alongside its performance credentials, the e:Ny1 also represents a new design language for Honda’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup. This fresh aesthetic is characterized by white badging and detailing, making a bold, distinctive statement on the roads. Moreover, a new textual representation of the Honda brand graces the rear of the vehicle, further signifying the brand’s commitment to its electric future.
