The off-road package will add to the Maverick’s off-road credibility.
Spy shots show tell-tale signs that it’s coming.
The Maverick is without a doubt one of Ford’s greatest hits so far in the 2020s. The small pickup was instantly praised by the media and buyers. For its pricing and capabilities, it served all purposes except for one: Off-roading. Enter the Tremor.
The Ford F-150 and Ranger trucks are already available with the off-road-dedicated package. It includes, among many other things, a Fox off-road suspension, an electronic rear locking differential, skid plates, specific wheels with off-road LT tires, different bumpers, and so on.
The spy shots shared by Motor1 show a Maverick kitted with the wheels and tires, special bumpers, as well as a number of orange highlights. They can be seen on the tow hooks, the front grille, wheels, and the Lariat badge is also orange.
The last part might indicate the Tremor package might be an option on some trims as opposed to a version of the Maverick. This is the case for the Ranger but not the F-150. If it is a package, then it might be offered with either the 2.5-litre hybrid or 2.0-litre EcoBoost engines. Another clue that this could be the case is that the spied Maverick’s ride height looks unchanged.
