Hyundai will pull the curtain back on the 2024 Kona Jayde Concept tomorrow when the 2023 SEMA Show fires up. The new Kona is already quite a unique urban crossover utility vehicle and for SEMA, Hyundai took the opportunity to juice it up further for greater adventures.
The Kona Jayde Concept doesn’t just blend into the typically grey, black, or white urban jungle; it stands out with a robin’s egg blue wrap that fits the Kona’s body panels surprisingly well. But it’s not just about the color. The vehicle’s aerodynamic features, designed by Air Design, include an aggressive front lip, distinctive rocker panels, and a sleek rear spoiler.
The aesthetic appeal is further amplified by custom one-piece HRE 520M wheels in a brushed-black finish. These 20×9-inch wheels are also wrapped, this time with 235/40/ZR20 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. The vehicle’s lowered stance, achieved through Eibach springs that reduce the ride height by two inches, making this the Kool-Aid of Konas… Sorry.
Born from a collaboration between Hyundai and MOBIS, a key supplier of genuine Hyundai parts and accessories, this vehicle is equipped for the urban explorer. A Thule Pulse Alpine cargo box provides ample storage for all your needs and gear, while a Vintage Electric Rally e-bike offers a convenient last-mile solution. This high-performance e-bike is not just an add-on; it’s an integral part of the vehicle’s design, mounted securely on a Thule Epos bike rack and featuring color-coordinated Michelin Power Gravel tires.
The interior of the Kona Jayde Concept is as thoughtfully designed as its exterior. Customized RECARO Sportster CS seats are wrapped in a unique plaid pattern and deviated stitching that harmonize with the vehicle’s color scheme. The interior is further enhanced with Hyundai Genuine Accessories, including stylish doorstep plates, a reversible cargo tray, and plush carpeted floor mats. To keep your gadgets powered, the vehicle comes equipped with a Scosche PowerUp 32K portable charger and an InVert 200 DC-to-AC adapter.
The 2024 Hyundai Kona Jayde Concept will be showcased at the Thule Booth in the West Hall, Booth #55233, starting October 31.
