Hyundai is making many eyes glaze over with its electric IONIQ 5. The urban crossover with its sharp design certainly doesn’t leave anyone indifferent, especially for its looks, but also for its interior approach. And, not surprisingly, the automaker hasn’t said its last word, as it has just released the first photos of the SEVEN prototype, another SUV that could be added to the IONIQ lineup in the next few months.
The official presentation of the SEVEN prototype will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17. While the only photo of a portion of the front fender reveals a vehicle inspired by the IONIQ 5′s so-called “parametric pixel” lighting, the other shots show an interior that looks nothing like a car.
In fact, it has a custom luxury living room feel with trim made from “environmentally sustainable” materials, according to Hyundai. The captain’s chair looks like it came straight out of an interior design magazine, while the fabric covering the seat and bench is unlike anything else in the industry.
The introduction of this all-electric SUV destined to join the ranks of this IONIQ sub-division should in principle be this three-row seating vehicle that Hyundai promises to add by 2024. With the family craze for these roomy and comfortable crossovers, Hyundai has every incentive to tackle an all-electric leaning of this type of vehicle. It remains to be seen how the public will react to this other Hyundai creation. The answer in a little less than two weeks!
