The “P One Edition” is a consolation prize for AMG One buyers who’ve been waiting for their car for longer than expected.
Additional features on the “P One Edition” include a two-tone livery with teal accents both inside and out.
Only 275 of these will be offered, matching the number of Ones that will be eventually built.
It was only last week that Mercedes-AMG revealed the incredible GT Black Series. With 720 horsepower and a price-tag to match, they are not destined to be a common sight. Based on the Black Series, Mercedes-AMG will offer AMG One “place holders” the opportunity to purchase a special edition of the GT Black Series called the “P One Edition”.
The news comes from Mercedes-fans.de and they specify that only 275 will be assembled and made available exclusively to AMG One order holders. What’s not clear is that the story says that customers can get the AMG GT Black Series “P One Edition” for a surcharge of 50,000 euros ($57,000 US). We’re assuming this sum is over the regular price of Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. However, maybe this is $57,000 over the near $2.75 million US price for the One…
The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series “P One Edition” will differ from the other Black Series cars with its a two-tone silver and black livery with teal accents both inside and out. The wheels will also sport the teal blue accents. Markets other than the USA, Canada, and China will get AMG bucket seats made of carbon. AMG performance seats will be standard in the three aforementioned markets.
The Mercedes-AMG One hybrid hypercar will be powered by electrically-turbocharged 1.6-litre V6 that will produce 1,021 horsepower. The engine will be mated to an 8-speed semi-automatic transmission and AWD. It was revealed at the 2017 International Motor Show Germany in Frankfurt and deliveries should begin in 2021.
