Ineos Quartermaster On Sale Now From $97k in Canada

The old-school Defender pickup replacement is ready

  • Off-road pickup order books now open

  • Model competes with Jeep Gladiator, and almost nothing else

Off-roader builder Ineos is now taking orders for its pickup. The Ineos Quartermaster double cab starts from $96,695 in Canada and is on sale now.

The Quartermaster takes the Ineos Grenadier SUV, with its ladder frame and BMW-derived powertrain, but makes it into something more utilitarian. A foot-long frame stretch and no roof in the back mean it has a pickup bed large enough to carry a standard-size pallet.

Ineos says the Quartermaster has a max payload of 1,675 lbs and top towing of 7,716 lbs. Both are very competitive in the small truck segment and are equal to the Grenadier SUV’s capabilities.

Other pickup features include four tie-downs with optional utility rails and a 400W power outlet. The 51-inch tailgate can handle up to 500 lbs when open, better than most pickups.

The Quartermaster will have 10.3-inches of ground clearance and can ford 31.5-inches of water. It has a center differential lock and the front and rear live axles can also both be fitted with locking diffs.

Like its Grenadier sibling, the Quartermaster pickup will be offered in base ($96,695), Trialmaster ($105,995), and Fieldmaster ($105,995) trims. The Trialmaster comes with locking diffs and a host of bed utility options, while the Fieldmaster gets luxury bits including Safari windows, premium, sound, and leather trim. Deliveries are expected to start before the end of the year.
