Infiniti Unveils Two Conceptual Vehicles at the Canadian International AutoShow

Infiniti showcases two concepts at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto.

At the Canadian International AutoShow, Infiniti unveils not one, but two concept vehicles.

  • The Infiniti brand returns to the Canadian International AutoShow.

  • The QX monograph gives a glimpse of Infiniti’s next-generation full-size SUV.

  • The Vision Qe prototype illustrates the brand’s electric future.

For Infiniti, it’s a return to the Canadian International AutoShow after missing the 2023 edition. The Japanese brand is back, and took the opportunity to unveil two prototypes: the Vision Qe and the QX monograph. The two vehicles illustrating Infiniti’s future were introduced by Alfonso Albaisa, Global Head of Design for the automaker. The Motor Illustrated team travelled to Toronto to see these two prototypes, which attracted a great deal of attention during the media day.

The QX monograph is a Canadian first, paving the way for the next generation of the brand’s large SUV. The QX80 has been on the market without much change since 2010, and this concept vehicle retains the same general shape. As you can see from the photos, the QX monograph features a double-arched grille and digital piano key headlights. It also features the new Infiniti logo, which is illuminated. At the rear, the lights occupy the full width of the vehicle. No technical details about the next-generation QX80 have been released.

As for the Vision Qe prototype, it aims to give a glimpse of Infiniti’s first electric vehicle. It is presented as a coupe-type sedan. As in the case of the QX monograph, the lighting features digital piano keys. The integration of large wheels with a glossy finish is particularly noteworthy. As for color, perception can change depending on the angle from which the vehicle is viewed. It’s a shade of blue with golden highlights. The manufacturer points out that this concept vehicle marks a new era for the company.

The Canadian International AutoShow will be held from February 16 to 25, 2024, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
