Is Hyundai Also Working on an Ioniq 6 N?

Based on one report, the Ioniq 6-looking is the RM22 concept

  • Tomorrow, Friday, July 15th, is “N Day.”

  • We’re expecting the Ioniq 5 N to be revealed.

Hyundai is about to end the week with a bang. Tomorrow, Friday, July 15th, is “N Day” and fun and interesting new cars are expected to be revealed. At least one will be electric and either this one or another will get a massive rear spoiler. And possibly another will be an Ioniq 6 N-looking car.

Hyundai Teases Two Upcoming N Cars, One of Which is Electric

But it won’t be the Ioniq 6 N. Although it looks like what could be considered an N, according to the Korean Car Blog, it’s actually the Hyundai RM22 concept. And this one is giving off hydrogen-electric-power vibes. Hyundai’s introduced a number of RM (rear-midship) concepts over the years including an 800-horsepower all-electric Veloster-based RM20e.

The RM22’s body shell certainly is borrowed from Hyundai’s latest Ioniq model given its swooping lines. Visual add-ons include massively flared fenders covering huge wheels, and serious front and rear aero bits but no rear spoiler on risers.

Tomorrow’s N Day is shaping up to be a good one. Most notable will be the official introduction of the hotly-anticipated Ioniq 5 N which, realistically, should eventually spawn an Ioniq 6 N.
