Rendering shows look at next-gen Lexus LX
Based on latest Land Cruiser with Limitless concept cues
We’ve now seen, even if it’s not quite official just yet, what the new next-generation Land Cruiser is going to look like. So if there’s a new Land Cruiser will there be a new Lexus LX? We’re guessing yes, and a new rendering shows what the 2023 Lexus LX could look like.
The rendering was initially posted to Land Cruiser Updates on Instagram (via creative311.com), a site that is full of photos of the upcoming Land Cruiser 300. It takes that Cruiser body and adds a nose that’s clearly inspired by the spindle grille of the latest Lexus sedans. The mesh is slightly different from the standard F-Sport, with the boomerang front accent lighting that borrows strongly from the LF-1 Limitless concept, with the rest of the headlight more traditional current Lexus.
Much of the rest is Limitless-inspired, which makes sense since much of the current Lexus lineup has taken that show car and run with it. For now, this is an unofficial rendering, but based on the new Land Cruiser and the current Lexus LX, this certainly seems like the way Lexus might go with the new model we expect next year.
Of course, that assumes that the LX and Land Cruiser remain platform mates and that Lexus plans to maintain the LX as the rugged go-anywhere luxury off-roader that it has been since the model’s inception.
