Jeep Claims First-Ever PHEV Lift Kit for Wrangler 4xe

Electric Jeeps need aftermarket too

  • Two-inch kit just part of 4xe accessory offerings

  • Jeep-branded 240V homer charger also available

Because even Jeep knows it’s not really a Wrangler if it doesn’t have a lift, Jeep Performance Parts now has a two-inch kit for the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid. Jeep calls it an industry first, and it’s just one of a host of official accessories for the plug-in off-roader.

For $2,310, the first-ever lift kit for a plug-in hybrid model (says Jeep), the kit comes with four springs along with front lower control arms, four-corner bump stops, stabiliser links, and four specially-calibrated Fox shocks, all in a custom wooden crate and JPP badging. It will give the 4xe more ground clearance and off-road capability, though no word on if it affects electric range.

At home, a new 240V Level 2 wall charger kit is offered with Mopar as well as Jeep branding. The hard-wired or plug-in charger options allow for home charging more than five times faster than using the stock 110V wall charger.

The rest of the accessory list is what you’d expect to be offered for any Wrangler, though we have to say Jeep is missing a beat by not giving the option of a blue trim to match the 4xe badges instead of the black finishes that are the only option.

Different doors including half-doors with more visibility, tube doors with even more extra visibility and open-air, rock rails, and bumpers to protect the vehicle and add a winch are offered, as are mirror kits for the new doors. Off-road LED lighting, a stronger wheel holder to help support larger off-road tires, and a relocated brake light to clear bigger spare tires are all on the menu at your Mopar dealer.
