Jeep Recon delivers 650 hp, 620 lb.-ft. torque, and up to 250-mile (400-km) electric range.
Removable doors and glass panels offer open-air flexibility with no tools required.
Dual drive modules and Selec-Terrain system enhance off-road capability.
Jeep has finally unveiled the 2026 Recon, the brand’s first fully electric Trail Rated SUV. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2026 at Stellantis’ Toluca Assembly Plant in Mexico, with initial market launches in Canada and the United States.

Externally, the Recon proudly features Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille with illuminated trim, full LED lighting, and removable body panels, including doors and glass, all without tools. A rear-swing gate houses a full-size spare tire, and the optional Sky One-Touch Power Top takes the open-air driving experience to the next level.
Inside, the Recon’s cabin is equipped with recycled materials and a new Capri non-leather synthetic trim. The dashboard includes a modular rail system, and storage options include a two-level centre console, 65.9 cubic feet (1,866 litres) of cargo capacity with rear seats folded, and a 3.0-cubic-foot (85-litre) frunk.

Technology includes a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment display powered by Uconnect 5. Features include Trails Offroad navigation for U.S. and Canadian paths, dynamic range mapping via TomTom, Amazon Alexa integration, and a new Jeep app for remote vehicle management.
The all-electric Recon is powered by front and rear 250-kilowatt (335 hp) electric drive modules, delivering a total output of 650 horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. of torque. Jeep estimates an all-electric range of up to 250 miles (400 kilometres), depending on trim, thanks to the standard 100-kWh battery. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 km/h) is estimated at 3.6 seconds

Trail-rated capability is provided by Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction system, which includes five drive modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand, and Rock. The Moab trim adds Rock mode-specific calibrations and a 15:1 final drive ratio on the rear EDM for enhanced torque delivery. Suspension is handled by a short-long arm system at the front and an integral link at the rear, providing 9.1 inches of ground clearance and favourable approach, departure, and breakover angles.
Underbody protection includes high-strength steel shielding to protect the battery. Additional off-road tools include an electronic locking differential, low-speed Selec-Speed Control, and a hill-hold function.

Jeep confirmed the Recon will enter global markets after its Canadian and U.S. rollout. Pricing has not yet been confirmed; however, we expect Canadian MSRP to begin at no less than $80,000.
