Karma Automotive will unveil a concept from its partnership with Pininfarina at the Shanghai Auto Show in April.
A Pininfarina-designed concept will be unveiled by Karma Automotive at this year’s Auto Shanghai. The American company has lifted the veil on the first teaser of the model.
Best known for its Revero, the luxury car manufacturer will take advantage of its Shanghai Auto Show passage to reveal what it calls the “Shanghai Big Three”. These three models the brand will showcase are the concept resulting from the partnership with Pininfarina, the next generation of the Revero and the Karma Vision EV concept.
The CEO of Karma Automotive, Dr. Lance Zhou mentions, about the partnership: “Karma is united in spirit with Pininfarina through our shared commitment to stunning design, and we are excited about the reaction we anticipate the end result of our partnership will generate”.
This is the beginning of a new era for Karma that will start with the “Shanghai Big Three”. Indeed, speaking at a recent conference at the SAP Campus in Palo Alto, California, Dr. Zhou talked about page the company will turn at the Shanghai Show.
“Karma is a luxury automaker but we are not just a luxury automaker. Taken together, Karma’s Shanghai Big Three represents our transformation from an old-value car manufacturer to a company building long-term value in part by becoming an open-platform luxury high-tech automotive incubator,” said Zhou.
The Karma Revero’s next generation, although being only unveiled next April, will be sold in the second half of this year in the 18 dealers affiliated to the brand.
To complete the trio, the Karma Vision concept is “a signpost to the company’s future” and aims to provide insight into the manufacturer’s long-term direction.
“Our New Dawn represents Karma’s short, medium and long-term product direction,” said Zhou. “We have a solid product plan that spans the next decade and relationships with the right partners who are helping us accelerate technology and product development.”
More details on these three models will be announced in mid-April during the brand’s press conference at Auto Shanghai 2019.
