Comes with special gifts, starts from $58,500
Deliveries expected to start next year
Kia‘s EV6 crossover is nearly ready to start taking reservations, and now the brand has announced pricing and given us some more information about what to expect for the special First Edition EV6 that will come with extra features and a gift from the automaker.
The Kia EV6 First Edition will start from $58,500 when it goes on sale in the US. That will be a dual-motor AWD version with the 77.4 kWh battery meaning that it should manage an EV range of 265 miles (429 km) and will make 313 hp with 446 lb-ft of torque.
Also on that First Edition will be a heat pump to minimise heating energy use, an ultra-wide sunroof, and heated seats and steering wheel. There is an augmented reality head-up display to project useful information in front of the driver, the model has Meridian audio with 14 speakers, vegan leather, and a surround-view monitor camera.
For the First Edition preferred gift, buyers can choose from an at-home EV charging station, an Apple Watch, or EV charging credits. The EV6 offers Apple Watch connectivity using the Kia Connect app to allow drivers to stop or start charging remotely, open or close the charge port, and see other alerts about the vehicle.
Just 1,500 of the First Edition vehicles will be available for pre-order, with buyers able to put down a $100 deposit to secure theirs on June 3rd. Deliveries are expected to start early next year. Pricing for other models has yet to be revealed.
