2027 Telluride grows longer, taller, and adopts Kia’s Opposites United design principles.
New X-Pro trim adds off-road features including all-terrain tires and recovery hooks.
Interior upgrades include reconfigurable cargo space, ambient lighting, and luxury-inspired materials.
Kia has revealed the redesigned 2027 Telluride, previewing a larger and more refined version of its flagship midsize SUV. It will make its global debut at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show. The second-generation Telluride is expected to reach showrooms in the first quarter of 2026.

Now 2.3 inches longer with a nearly 3-inch stretch in wheelbase and an additional inch in height, the updated Telluride carries on with its well-established boxy silhouette while adopting new design elements. Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy guided the redesign, combining rugged durability with refined sophistication.
The model will be offered in several trims, including the off-road-focused X-Pro. This variant includes blacked-out trim elements, all-terrain tires, and 9.1 inches of ground clearance. Raised roof rails and recovery hooks add functional accessories suited for outdoor use.

Lighting plays a big role in the Telluride’s updated visual identity. The SUV retains its vertical bar signature at the rear and now features twin LED vertical strips in the front, incorporating Kia’s “Star Map” graphic. Amber daytime running lights return in a modernized form, while the X-Pro trim adds new Ground Lighting under the mirrors, doors, and rear bumper for increased visibility in dark conditions. Lighting beneath the raised tailgate supports low-light tasks.
Wheel options range from 18 to 21 inches, with contrasting finishes and D-shaped patterns. The X-Pro variant includes thicker spokes and blacked-out designs.

Inside, the Telluride’s cabin is described by Kia as a “tech sanctuary.” A horizontal layout and wraparound dash provide a spacious yet enclosed feel. Increased dimensions improve access to rear seating, while headroom is enhanced in sunroof-equipped models. Cabin features include wood-like surfaces, metal accents, ambient lighting, and a reconfigurable cargo area with a folding table and integrated ruler markings.
Interior colour schemes vary across trims. Higher trims offer bold options like Deep Navy with Tuscan Umber or Blackberry with Sand Beige. X-series models adopt more subdued palettes, such as all-black or saddle brown, with seating surfaces featuring embossed detailing.

The 2027 Telluride also introduces new exterior colours, including Black Jade Green and Terrain Brown in both matte and gloss finishes. These join a broader palette of ten colours intended to reflect the SUV’s dual identity as both urban and outdoor-ready.
Powertrain details will be revealed in only a few weeks. The Los Angeles Auto Show will be held from November 21st to 30th.
