Sorento gets revisions inside and out
Facelift makes Sorento more rugged and upscale
Kia has just revealed an updated Sorento with photos from the car’s home market. The 2025 Kia Sorento gets a new nose based on the brand’s Opposites United design language along with an upgraded interior with new curved display.
The new front fascia’s grille is biger and bolder than before, and it is flanked by LED running lights in a new headlight design. It’s much more Telluride than new Niro, and the face looks good in context with the rest of the shape. The changes at the back are smaller, but new taillights add even more detailing for an upscale look. A new faux skidplate at the rear balances the taillights with some additional toughness.
On the inside, the 2025 Sorento gets a new panoramic curved display. The curved display, complete with 12.3-inch center screen, is popping up across the Kia lineup. The rest of the dash looks much more like the new Telluride with slim vents and what Kia calls more upscale materials. The quilting in particular is seriously upmarket for the Korean brand. New tech add-ons include fingerprint-linked ignition and in-car payments.
Kia didn’t have powertrain details, and the Korean-market offerings (including a diesel) aren’t really relevant for here anyway. Expect more from the brand later this year as it gets ready to bring the refreshed Kia Sorento to showrooms.
