Well aren’t you pretty. The new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster was unveiled tonight at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Avendator SVJ was already a spectacular machine. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster is even more spectacular.
Unveiled last year, the SVJ is a more exclusive, more powerful Aventador that would sit above the SV in the lineup. Now, the SVJ gets a convertible which looks amazing. What else is there to say about a car like this?
According to Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali, the SVJ Roadster will be as fast and fun to drive as the Aventador SVJ Coupe with the only difference being that you can now enjoy the car with the wind in your hair.
Power comes from a massive V12 engine producing 770 horsepower which is located right behind your ear if you are sitting in the Aventador SVJ. That will get you to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds which is nothing to scoff at. The Aventador SVJ Roadster is a tad slower than the coupe because of the extra 50 kilos generated by the removal of the roof and beefed up structural rigidity, but we can’t imagine anyone will complain.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster will be limited to just 800 units, 50 more than the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster unveiled a few hours before the Lambo. Pricing starts at $573,996. Let’s call it an even 575k.
