The Squadra Corse will get the most powerful Lamborghini V12 engine ever.
It launches this summer and will be offered in limited numbers.
Full carbon fibre chassis, 830 horsepower, it will be very fast.
If you’re the hard-working type and saving up to buy your first Lamborghini as a gift to yourself, this won’t be it. Although pricing is not included in the press release, this limited-run exclusive hyper-car won’t be street-legal, nor remotely priced like a Huracán. Designed and build by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the Lamborghini SCV12 will be a track-focused hypercar for people who love uncompromised speed.
That speed will come courtesy of the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine from Lamborghini to date. According to Lambo, the engine is capable of developing in excess of 830 horsepower thanks to “aerodynamic supercharging” at high speed. Thanks to a pair of air intakes and a central rib on the bonnet, airflow is directed straight to a ram-air scoop on the roof, “force-feeding” the engine with more air.
Aerodynamics also play an important role in keeping all the power working for the Lamborghini SCV12. The front splitter is massive, as are the vertical fins and the rear wing is positively huge. All of this is obviously functional and helps the specially developed slick Pirelli tires do their job.
The Lamborghini SCV12 will be built in limited numbers at the Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Owners will automatically become members of a club that will participate in advanced driving programs at some of the world’s most prestigious circuits. Let’s hope for the SCV12 that they’ll already have some track experience.
The official world première is scheduled for this summer.
