Lamborghini Sian Hybrid Debuts As Fastest Lambo Ever

Lamborghini now as an electrified vehicle. It’s called the Sian, it will debut in Frankfurt, and it is ridiculously powerful.

The all-new Lamborghini Sian isn’t your typical new hybrid vehicle. It’s Lamborghini’s first electrified vehicle and it’s also the Italian supercar builder’s most powerful production car ever.

Lamborghini plans to officially debut the new Sian at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show. Powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine like the Aventador SVJ, the Sian gets a mild 48-volt which boosts power to 819 horsepower, 49 more than the SVJ.

A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox manages the electrified powertrain. Getting to 100 km/h requires only 2.8 seconds which is about the same as the Aventador SVJ. It does get from 30 to 60 km/h and 70 to 120 km/h quicker than any other Lambo, however.

Although a production car, the Lamborghini Sian won’t see as many garages as the Aventador or Huracan, however. Only 63 Sian models will be built at a starting price of 3.6 million dollars and as you may have guessed it… They have all been sold already.

Overall, this is a rather mediocre first attempt at an electrified Lamborghini. We say this in the best way possible, but a 48-volt system added to a V12 isn’t exactly LaFerrari or 918 Spyder stuff. It’s also a very limited model and will have a considerably less impact than, say, a hybrid Huracan-priced model.

But, it’s another very fast Lamborghini and that on its own is newsworthy.
